Birth and Growth

The journey began with a clear vision to provide high-quality and affordable medical equipment and healthcare products. To achieve this vision, Al Arifi Medical Group for Services and Hospital Supplies was established in 1997 in Yemen.

In 2002, VITATECH and Al Arifi Star Pharma Ltd. were established to provide pharmaceutical-related products, cosmetics and personal care products, medical devices, laboratory reagents, and rapid test kits. Through these companies, the group expanded its ability to serve the healthcare needs of the Yemeni market.

As part of its commitment to the development of the healthcare sector, the group also expanded into hospital services. Al-Amel Specialized Hospital was established in 2001, followed by Tehama Specialized Hospital in 2008.

Building on its success in Yemen, the group expanded its activities internationally. In 2016, Haylan General Trading Co., Ltd. was established in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan as a sister company of Al Arifi Medical Group for Services and Hospital Supplies.

The group’s next major step was to enter the manufacturing sector, leading to the establishment of Hemalive Diagnostic Pharma in Istanbul, Türkiye, in 2019. Hemalive was established to manufacture food supplements, cosmetics and personal care products, medical devices, diagnostic laboratory reagents, and rapid test kits.

With specialized production capabilities, Hemalive manufactures food supplements and cosmetics in a variety of dosage forms, including tablets, effervescent tablets, capsules, syrups, oral vials, sachets, creams, and ointments.

In addition, Hemalive’s diagnostic division provides diagnostic analyzers, laboratory reagents, and rapid test kits, supporting healthcare professionals and distribution partners across international markets.
